Representative, Customer Care III

Highlights of the job

We are hiring a Full Time Representative, Customer Care III permanent position for EPCOR’s Customer Care team.

Reporting to our local offices in Arizona, New Mexico or Texas, the Customer Care Representative III provides customer care support to our internal and external customers. These responsibilities include billing support and resolution, account review and analysis, running department reports, communicating with customers via phone and email, and handling customer complaints and inquiries. Assist in the creation and validation of new premises.

What you’d be responsible for

• Assist with new service account requests and requests for end of service
• Maintain customer databases, run reports, compare and calculate tiered billing rates, and create service orders for web requests and our operations team.
• Assist customers with inquiries/complaints, review customer accounts/history, research problems and resolve issues.
• New premise validations
• Keep accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
• Work with our business partners on billing and customer service inquiries.
• Additional future responsibilities may include one or both of the following:
• Providing support for the call center – answering incoming customer calls, troubleshooting high usage concerns, completing new service requests
• Providing support for the Dispatch Team – dispatching jobs to work crews, organizing and tracking work orders, handling emergency calls for water and gas, maintaining databases for end users

What’s required to be successful

• High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of college level business or finance classes preferred.
• Two years of experience in customer service, preferably in water/wastewater industry or other utility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of customer recordkeeping and billing processes and strong computer skills in a business environment, including Microsoft Office applications and ECIS+ customer information software system.
• An understanding of a regulated utility environment.
• Ability to use critical thinking skills to make decisions and assist customers
• Organizational and time-management skills in the event the role becomes fully remote
