The Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) is responsible for delivering software solutions that enable Shell Energy Australia to implement its strategic plans as well as to flex to meet its future business goals. This particular position involves working on Shell Energy Australia’s Retail Customer Portal: key component of our strategic differentiator of exceptional customer experience.
To be successful in this role you will be a full stack engineer with a front-end focus. You will be a team player, applying modern engineering practices to solve problems and deliver incremental, valuable, business outcomes. You will exemplify self-organising behaviours, a continuous improvement mindset and an inclusive one-team culture. You will champion Cloud adoption, Test Automation, CI/CD, Site Reliability Engineering and new Application Architectures (specifically Microservice Architectures and Event Driven Application Architectures) in your squad. You will be supported by the Engineering Lead in your squad and the Architecture and Enablement team.
Shell Energy Australia embraces the DevOps model, and so the Senior Software Engineer will be required to not only develop new features with ongoing support and maintenance in mind, but also to actively participate in product support and remediating technical debt.
