Our engineering team is the crème de la crème of the engineering world. These incredible humans are the beating heart of EROAD. We’re a technology company providing easy solutions to some tricky road regulations in NZ, Australia and North America. They code and build for all of it. And they make sure that technology is secure, stable, reliable and accurate 24/7, 365 days a year.
The Role
At EROAD our core purpose is to bravely solve complex transportation problems, delivering intuitive solutions that help our customers succeed. To do this we must be a global leader in providing future-ready integrated technology, tolling and service solutions for commercial fleets and vehicles across a variety of sectors. It is this purpose and vision that has led to us building a new internal Business Analysis (BA) practice to complement the existing capabilities in the organization. The newly formed BA team will be an integral part of EROAD’s shift into a new way of working; reflecting its continued and exciting growth.
We’re looking for a BA Lead with a real passion for analysis to build a performance culture and champion the alignment between customer reality and product development. Along with our UX team, our BA’s are the internal champion of our most important team member – our customer; be that external (for our BA’s) or internal (for our Tech. BA’s).
You will use your natural talent for empowering and encouraging others, to build a brave and professional team that engage seamlessly with EROAD’s Product Managers (PMs), User Experience (UX) team, fellow analysts and agile development teams. Together you will work cohesively to understand complex customer scenarios, problems and needs with exceptional depth and clarity.

Responsibilities
Build and manage a BA community within EROAD – ensuring its focus remains on our products and delivering exceptional value to our internal and external customers
Imbue the team with a real and enduring passion to maintain the customer voice and reality in all we consider
Initiate & capture clear BA briefing assignments – ensuring that the BA team members have the information they need to understand what is expected of them so that they may success
Actively engage EROAD as an organisation in the purpose and benefits of the BA practice, ensuring their role is understood and clear
Actively ensure the BA team is engaging internal teams and external customers to analyse current situations, needs, desired outcomes – ensuring a thorough and unbiased understanding, with exceptional knowledge capture and transfer
Actively manage the delicate line between agile just enough/just in time, and robust forward reconnaissance that allows the organisation to be confident in decisions
Create a solid framework to deliver in a consistent, comparable and measurable manner, while fostering the right analytical skills and techniques across the team
Ensure that the BA team is leading by example within EROAD for best-practice knowledge capture and communication
Support team members to develop, grow and drive their career
Retain technical skill and provide BA capability where needed by EROAD to support product development
Requirements
A min 3 -5 yrs. experience in business analysis or related role
Experience in high customer focus environments and a strong understanding of customer satisfaction and delivery frameworks
Familiarity and comfort leading teams that are functioning cross-organisationally
Experienced working with technical, complex products and subjects
Well experience in an Agile software development environment
Experience use of Jira and Confluence
Demonstrated communication skills – interactive, verbal and written
