Examples of Duties Performed:

• Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of patient medical records and forms for a long-term care nursing center in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations and center guidelines.
• Establishes and maintains control procedures to optimize the efficient and effective handling of patient medical records and related medical documents.
• Conducts routine audits on active medical records.
• Reviews and organizes charts of discharged patients; purges records in accordance with center guidelines.

To be considered for this opportunity applicants must:

• Have prior experience with medical records. (preferred)
• Possess knowledge of medical terminology.
• Be a high school graduate or the equivalent.
• Embrace the standards, values, and beliefs of the organization.
• Possess ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Be capable of maintaining effective working relationships with patients, family members, department heads and fellow staff.
