What’s the role?
Are you a TikTok-obsessed digital content leader who is passionate about Etsy’s marketplace for small businesses? Etsy is seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to lead Etsy’s TikTok channel.
As Social Media Manager, you’ll work closely with social and marketing channel leads, as well as an array of talent, sellers and UGC creators to develop, execute and scale video content that will define Etsy’s voice on TikTok.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Manager, Social Media and the base salary range will be 90,000 – 116,000 USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States who are either remote, flex, or office-based. What does the day-to-day look like?
Leading all aspects of the strategy, execution and growth of Etsy’s TikTok channel to create video content intended to fuel brand awareness and advocacy
Collaborating with sellers, buyers and other TikTok creators to co-create content for Etsy’s owned TikTok channel
Being Etsy’s internal expert and advocate for all things Tiktok: existing and new platform features, trending sounds, formats, listening, paid boosting, analytics and reporting
Providing thought leadership on how to best leverage different features of TikTok (eg Live) to achieve our channel objectives.
Scaling UGC content from Etsy seller and buyer brand advocates on TikTok
Stewardship of Etsy’s brand and voice on TikTok, working to develop, execute and evolve Etsy’s strategy and vision for the channel
Collaboration with other social channel leads to ensure strategic syndication of social content and creators across our social ecosystem
Actively testing, optimizing, and evolving the short form video approach across channels, surfacing key insights to the social team as well as our marketing partners to drive views, engagement and channel growth
Overseeing community management and off channel brand engagement- deciding where and when Etsy can thoughtfully participate and engage with creators and brand advocates
Maintaining the integrity of the Etsy brand, ensuring that our content is uplifting and inspiring to sellers and buyers alike, amplifying Etsy’s mission of keeping commerce human
Proactively identifying, vetting and repurposing products, shops and/or existing UGC content that aligns with Etsy’s values and standards for Etsy’s global brand, international and seller channels

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:
5+ years experience creating social media video for a large brand or publisher, with a particular focus on video content
Deep knowledge of the social video landscape and social trends, particularly on TikTok, possessing a keen awareness of the difference between successful consumer and brand content
Extensive knowledge of measurement and performance for social video as well as content discovery and CMS work streams
Experience producing video content for a brand and copywriting for social media video formats
Understanding of social video creation tools inside and outside of TikTok
Passion about supporting small businesses, creativity and craftsmanship and care deeply about building the Etsy brand for key audiences
Ensure a steady and stream of quality video content for our TikTok channel aimed at Etsy brand advocacy and awareness
Identify and suggest creative opportunities for Etsy to leverage its values within the TikTok landscape as well as predict, measure and respond to video content performance on our channel in key areas of video views, engagement and channel growth
Work closely and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders across the organization, both inside and outside of the social media team.
Able to balance multiple projects and priorities, while acting nimbly to support emerging trends and opportunities
