Salary Range

$114,000.00 – $148,000.00

What’s the role?

We are looking for an iOS/Android Engineer, to join a multidisciplinary app development team, where you will work alongside other native and backend engineers, product manager, designer, and researchers to bring exciting features for our iOS/Android app users. You will have the opportunity to work on the biggest bets for Etsy’s business and contribute directly to Etsy’s goals and growth.

Because we’re making user-facing features, we believe strongly in gathering and analyzing numerical data to help guide our decisions. To that end, you’ll use our in-house analytics tools to gather information and gain insights. You’ll also be able to use Etsy’s Continuous Deployment architecture to push code to production whenever you please.

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Working alongside real engineers on projects that deliver results for our Buyers and Sellers. Our teams are made up of cross functional team members from product management, engineering, design, and data analysis. This is how we build great products and provide opportunities to work beside other disciplines in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
• Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change occasionally at Etsy’s discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.

Qualities That Will Help You Thrive In This Role

• Interest in learning and putting into practice your coding skills either on iOS or Android.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members. The work you’ll do here will impact millions of users and it is important to understand their problems and find effective solutions for them.
• Experience with debugging practices and tools.
• Ability to define and solve unconstrained problems, and know when to seek help when no progress is being made.
• Desire to learn new systems and technologies.
• Interest in monitoring the health and performance of the applications your team owns.
• Have a “leave it better than you found it” mentality, and are willing to work with and improve on code you did not originally write.
• You can communicate with your team in a transparent and effective way
