Euclid Chemical Company Hiring for Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift at Cleveland, Ohio Full Time

Euclid Chemical is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Cleveland, OH. As our second shift Maintenance Technician, you will be expected to perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs, maintain parts inventories, submit purchase requisitions, and maintain equipment files. Euclid Chemical offers an attractive package for personnel, company benefits include but are not limited to: $25 – 30/hr (based off experience)Medical, dental and vision coverageLife InsuranceEmployee Bonus401k with company matchDefined benefit pension planGenerious vacation and holiday timeDuties and Responsibilites: Troubleshoot, plan, modify, and repair/rebuild all types of plant equipment.Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, repair and construction as required.Perform plant preventive maintenance program tasks for mechanical and electrical equipment.Test new or repaired equipment to assure satisfactory performance.Modify/fabricate as required using welder, cutting torches and various machines.Keep equipment, maintenance shop, and job sites in a clean and orderly condition.Work in accordance with OSHA and Euclid Chemical safety policies and procedures.Work from ladders, lifts, elevated places, and confined spaces as required.Document work completed; report job outcome/supplies used written and/or verbal.Daily handoff/communications with other shifts.Detail job status as appropriate to operators, management, and other maintenance personnel at end of each shift.Submit requisitions for repair/replacement parts as necessary.Enter MRO receipts in SAP system, maintain parts inventory/shop/equipment files/records.Create Work Orders and enter hours into SAP system.Work with solvents, degreasers, lubricants, and other common industrial chemicals.Qualifications and Previous Experience: High school diploma or GED5+ years related experience and/or trainingExperience rigging heavy components and operating mobile equipment (fork lifts,man lifts, skid-steer, etc.)Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages – SAP a plusPLC and VFD knowledge and associated skill sets are a plusRequirements: Must be available to work second shift. This schedule is Monday through Friday from 2pm – 10:30pm (hours may be subject to change based off business needs).Flexibility to work other shifts a plus- the successful candidate will be trained on 1st Shift.Must own required hand tools and appropriate storage for the tools of the trade.Ability to work with minimal supervisionLift up to 50lb as required. Heavier parts/materials will be handled using other methods.Key Competencies: Technical Skills: mechanical knowledge and use of common tools and gauges.
