Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for an Assistant Scientist to work in our Avian Department in Easton, MD.
We are looking for an individual interested in laboratory research in our Avian division of the Ecotoxicology department. If you like birds, this is the position for you.

• Complete work for research and development under CGMP and/or GLP guidelines for studies, documentation, etc.
• Carries out routine and moderately complex experiments
• Conducts kill appropriate procedures with minimal supervision
• Feed, water, and examine animals for signs of illness, disease, or injury. comfortable with handling live birds and caring for them.
• Collect biological data
• Effectively communicate with senior staff and quality assurance representatives on the care of birds and collection of data
• May assist in preparation of data and final reports for completed project or studies

Qualifications
Skills:

• Strong computer, scientific and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as chemistry, biology, biochemistry, environmental studies, or other directly related field or degree with comparable coursework..
• Experience handling animals.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information
Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Easton, MD are encouraged to apply.
