Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Administrator to work in Easton, MD.

• Serves as Chemical Hygiene Officer, Radiation Safety Officer, Safety Officer, Primary Emergency Coordinator; Respiratory Protection Program Administrator, Hazardous Waste Program Administrator; Air Pollution Program Administrator and Wastewater Discharge Program Administrator
• Maintains current knowledge concerning the legal requirements for regulated substances in the laboratory, OSHA Standards, RCRA Regulations, as well as local, state and federal air, wastewater and radiation regulations
• Reviews company policies and procedures related to chemical hygiene
• Assesses compliance of the company with the industrial hygiene plan; radiation protection safety compliance, air and water discharge
• Performs hazard evaluation for new chemicals and determine proper personal protective equipment for use with hazardous materials
• Assesses need for exposure monitoring
• Distributes or coordinate distribution of Material Safety Data Sheets
• Coordinates respirator fitness and fit training
• Performs right-to-know, safety, emergency procedure and chemical hygiene training
• Performs radiation safety training
• Maintains safety, radiation safety, respiratory protection, and chemical hygiene and hazardous waste disposal records
• Maintains radioactive material’s inventory
• Performs or coordinates wipe tests for radiation contamination
• Maintains records for hazardous waste disposal
• Performs safety and chemical hygiene inspections
• Performs accident investigations
• Performs chemical fume hood inspections
• Performs or coordinates all chemical spill events
• Performs ECD leak tests
• Coordinates radiation instrument monitoring programs
• Writes and distributes compliance reports to local, state and federal agencies
• Maintains prescription eye glass program

Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess:

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• Experience in a laboratory setting
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Easton, MD are encouraged to apply
