• Analyze invoices received for propriety, accuracy, and authorization. Input invoices into Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable system
• Review for missing use tax, document invoices for use tax.
• Operate a personal computer in an efficient and accurate manner with the company provided software programs that includes Dynamics AX Accounting, Lawson, Word, Excel and others.
• Complete month end accounts payable closing.
• Maintain accurate and complete vendor information files.
• Communicate with vendors and resolves questions or discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end reconciliation/closing.
• Determine 1099 status of vendors, maintain records and complete forms. Obtain and maintain tax-withholding forms (W-9) on all vendors and record their federal identification number in the accounting software.
• Other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate would possess:

• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Review and process invoices and payments. Evaluate processes for improvements and recommend changes to manager.

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

• High School diploma with minimun 2 years Accounts Payable experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate’s (A.A.) degree preferred. Experience and knowledge of accounting practices and office procedures required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Good interpersonal skills required.
