• This will be a remote positions with a great Company.
• 6 Month Contract to hire position that has the possibility of turning into a permanent position with the company for the right person.

About the position:

The Mortgage Appraisal Specialist assists clients in closing on their homes by ensuring closings are on time and in budget. This position organizes and reviews information in a timely manner to ensure accuracy and compliance with property value appraisals and ensures the values of the property and the mortgage loan are consistent.

Job duties:

• Organize and review appraisals.
• Conduct independent real estate appraisal reviews.
• Perform review of appraisal/evaluation reports for accuracy/comprehensiveness.
• Collaborate with independent appraisers to ensure valuations are appropriate and risks are mitigated.
• Draft reviews summarizing comments on the quality of appraisal/evaluation reports.
• Develop relationships with appraisers in order to produce timely, accurate and compliant appraisals of subject properties by daily deadlines.
• Coordinate with other employees concerning appraisal data and status.
• Provide notification to Loan Officers and Operations Support upon review of value and if any property requirements required by investors.
• Meet rules, obligations, timelines, and deadlines to comply with company policy, contracts, investor guidelines, lending programs, and state and federal law and regulation.
• Perform the job in accordance with applicable industry laws and regulations as well as the policies and procedures established by the company.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree with major course work in a discipline related to the requirements of the position preferred
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must possess direct appraisal review experience with various loan types
• Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills.
• Must possess professional and leadership qualities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Must possess great attention to detail.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must possess excellent data entry skills
• Must possess multi-tasking skills.
• Must be bondable.

Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
