Consumer Products Demand Planning – Senior Manager

Your key responsibilities
COO’s partner closely with the Strategy, Commercial and IT functions to fulfill demand in the most efficient manner possible and enable efficient growth. Planning organizations have historically run in functional siloes which increases pressure on all parties in times of disruption. There is an opportunity
to systematically leverage real-time consumer data to more effectively collaborate with retailers, distributors, and internal functions alike to enable advancements in Demand Planning within our Consumer Products clients. EY influences executives to utilize a range of process improvement, planning tools and advanced analytics.
Skills and attributes for success
A Senior Manager is responsible for delivering a portfolio of engagements across the full spectrum of Demand Planning, Integrated Business Planning, Brand and Portfolio strategy and Supply Chain optimization. Experience in conducting assessments, building benefits cases and delivering successful process and technology implementations to provide measurable and sustainable benefits is important.
To qualify for the role you must have
10 – 15 years of experience as a consultant in the Supply Chain or Planning field or comparable industry experience
Process expertise in Consumer Products
Deep expertise in Demand Planning and Sensing with Consumer Products companies
Implementation experience in Sales and Operations Planning/Integrated Business Planning (S&OP/IBP)
Hands on, fully cycle implementation experiences with tools like SAP APO/IBP, OMP, BY, Kinaxis, o9 Solutions, Aera Technologies in Demand Planning
Experience in facilitating and driving process design and modeling
Supply Chain Planning implementation methodology expertise and experience
Ideally, you will also have
Experience working with a Big 4, a boutique technology consulting firm or extensive industry experience preferred
Demonstrated leadership of large, cross-functional teams in both Commercial Planning and Supply Chain environments
Experience working in a fast-paced team environment and ability to adapt quickly to change
Experience participating in development of technology business cases
Experience and demonstratable results in professional services sales
Refined executive presentation skills focused on driving business outcomes
Ability to drive requirements, facilitate client workshops, design sessions, discussions and interviews
High aptitude for creative quantitative problem solving
Excellent MS Office skills
Excellent communication skills
A BS, MS, MBA or PhD degree in business, engineering, science or related field is desired. Advanced degrees are preferred.
