What to expect

• 
  Day One: After a comprehensive induction, you will begin your journey as an intern within Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS). From day one, you will be assigned a buddy on your team who will help you get settled in, and ensure you are set up for a successful summer at EY.
• 
  Your Role: You’ll work as part of team, meet with clients, and make a real contribution to EY projects. We trust the students who join EY for the summer to make a real impact, and we encourage you to do so. You will develop analytical and problem-solving skills, learn how to network, build working relationships and how to lead and manage projects.
• 
  Work/Life Balance: Whilst there will be a certain focus on building your technical skillset, we also want to furnish our interns with the skills needed to manage their workload and create a healthy work/life balance. Throughout this 8-week programme, you will be invited to join us for sessions on a variety of wellbeing topics, as well as plenty of social outings so you can get to know your fellow colleagues and interns on the programme.

  Get to know EY: No matter what programme you choose, we want you to get to know us and what we do. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to attend deep-dive sessions into Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions and Consulting teams and more, so by the end of the summer you will have a great idea of the breath of opportunities at EY. Overall, the EY Summer Internship will offer you the chance to figure out if your chosen career path is the absolute right fit for you.

  Compensation: The EY Summer Internship programme is fully paid – you will work for EY as if you were a full-time employee therefore, we believe you should be compensated as such.
• Future Opportunities: At the end of your internship if we’re impressed with you and your work, and you are interested in a career at EY, we may even offer you a graduate position!

What is Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) at EY?

In order to survive and grow in an increasingly competitive and accountable business environment, organizations are required to report not only on their financial performance, but also their nonfinancial performance.

Ignoring sustainability, environmental, health and safety (EHS) and climate change risks and stakeholder concerns around these issues is no longer an option. While CFOs may not have traditionally led the way, they are increasingly expected to play a more active role.

EY’s global Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) teams understand the evolving pressures surrounding these challenges. As a result, they can help companies to respond by understanding and evaluating the broader value impacts and outcomes, identifying the opportunities, and supporting the reporting of nonfinancial performance risks to their stakeholders.

Skills and attributes for success

• On track for a minimum of 2.1 or higher in your chosen Bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• You demonstrate integrity, respect, and teaming.
• You have the energy, enthusiasm and the courage to lead.
• You can see the bigger picture, while also being detail oriented.
• You enjoy problem solving, you are willing to ask questions, embrace new challenges and are passionate about reimagining the future.
• You have the proficiency to manage several projects simultaneously; and are confident handling change and prioritising tasks.
• You have excellent communication skills and can clearly articulate your ideas, designs, and suggestions.
