The Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) function has an important role to play in helping to achieve EY’s ambition to create long-term value as the world’s most trusted, distinctive professional services organization. Through the collective power of BMC, and the other teams and specialists we work with, we aim to build a better working world by driving commercial value through distinctive marketing and communications that deliver measurable market impact.
BMC is led globally by Karen Hopkins. The function comprises over 2,000 professionals, working across the Global Executive and Regions in: Brand; Marketing; PR/Media Relations & External Communications; Internal Communications & Employee Engagement; Corporate communications.BMC also includes a number of teams who are responsible for digital channels, content development, editorial, webcasts, events-staging, strategy, planning and operations.
The opportunity
As part of the drive to strengthen cross-border collaboration and better serve EY clients, EY is bringing together three existing regions to form a new, enlarged Europe West Region. We are seeking a talented, influential and experienced individual to lead the Integrated Go-to-Market (iGTM) team for this new region and play an active role as a member of the Regional BMC Leadership Team, reporting to the Regional Brand, Marketing and Communications Leader for Europe West. The leader will have a dotted reporting line to the EMEIA Brand and iGTM leader.
This is a key senior leadership position that is accountable for developing and leading the Europe West iGTM team in alignment with the strategic priorities of the business as well as executing Global and EMEIA priority programs in the region. The individual will need to build the newly combined iGTM team for the region and foster integration and teaming across the different countries in the region.
To help us achieve our ambitions, we are transforming our BMC function across Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMEIA). This includes strengthening the skills and capabilities of our teams to deliver best in class digital marketing and support a broader product and service offering in line with EY ambitions to be a leader in technology-enabled transformation. Another important element of the transformation is to increase alignment and realize synergies across global, area and regional teams. This leader will have a key role to play in embedding the change within the region.
A commercially astute leader with a passion for bringing teams together, the iGTM leader has a pivotal role in prioritising areas of focus and investment for the iGMT function in alignment with regional business priorities and delivering market leading programs that are client-centric, build our brand in the market, help deepen and broaden client relationships and generate demand to drive profitable growth in the short and long term. The individual will be responsible for driving an account and buyer-centric approach that is sector led and fully aligned with the regional growth strategy.
Major responsibilities/duties
The Europe West iGTM Leader is a critical senior leadership role accountable for:
Leading a team of iGTM professionals, including development and leadership of all iGTM resources within the region
Acting as a trusted advisor to the business to actively make choices and prioritise iGTM resources and budget in alignment with the Europe West growth strategy
Creating and implementing a GTM strategy that is account-centric and delivers a fully integrated approach across sectors, segments and service lines for maximum market impact and commercial value
Aligning behind our overall iGTM strategic direction and work closely with peers across EMEIA
Building a strong regional iGTM team, uniting the existing country teams to create an iGTM community across the region and drive cross-border collaboration, motivating team members through effective teaming, coaching, counselling and learning opportunities
Working closely with Markets, the SL leads, Sector leads and BD to identify, accelerate and maximise opportunities to win in the market, drive synergies and deliver impact
Bringing together understanding of client issues and commercial insight to deliver marketing programs that deliver across the client lifecycle
Working with the Communications and Engagement and Brand teams to ensure EY is top of mind for existing and potential clients and empower our client-facing teams to win in the marketplace in an environment where profitable business growth and brand value is built from the inside out
Act as a change agent, driving the transformation in the way the team works and supports the business, using new approaches and technology to ensure they are agile, responsive and up-to-speed with the new skills needed to market in a digital world
Increasing the deployment of global and area BMC programs through greater collaboration and co-creation to ensure local relevance in support of regional business priorities
Ensure good practices and key learnings are shared across Europe West to ensure consistent delivery of client-centric, data and insight-driven marketing programs as part of our iGTM transformation ambitions
Implementing robust measurement and reporting to demonstrate return on investment and the delivery of strong commercial value
Oversight of the strategic planning and iGTM budget for regional BMC activities
Delivering the global and area BMC transformation agenda and embedding that change within the region to set the standard for local BMC teams and create better impact
Travel within the Region will be an important requirement. Travel within the Area and globally will be less frequent, but may be required pending business needs.

To qualify for the role you must have:
Experience in a cross-border role, building and managing diverse teams and delivering successfully across cultures and markets
15 years of marketing experience within a global organization delivering integrated campaigns across the full client lifecycle
Experience delivering integrated marketing programs with proven and demonstrable results.
Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders.
Experience of working effectively in a cross-cultural environment for multiple stakeholders and audiences, including with virtual high-performing teams.
Prior experience in delivering exceptional results in a multinational firm with complex matrix structures and global reporting relationships, balancing local market needs with global strategy
Experience in B2B environment where brand and business are built from the inside out, with substantial experience in either professional services, financial services or technology sectors
Strong expertise and knowledge of the full spectrum of marketing disciplines with particular emphasis on digital capabilities
Cultural awareness and sensitivity, as this role will involve daily interaction with people in multiple countries
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent area of study)
Fluency in English
Ideally, you’ll also have
Fluency in one or more of the languages represented in Europe West
High degree of numeracy with experience demonstrating ROI on marketing programs
Experience of working closely with Business Development to create demand and generate sales pipeline opportunities that drive business growth
Client-centricity and a solid understanding of account planning and account-based marketing
