The opportunity

The Talent Innovation and Continuous Improvement Team (ICI) at EY is the engine room where our HR/Talent innovations and process improvements occur and where ideas become action. Exceptional client service is at the heart of what we strive for in this dynamic, agile and fast-moving team environment.

This role was newly created to ensure that our service delivery to the Oceania Talent Team is seamless, timely, future proofed and quality focussed.

Your key responsibilities

The role is an internal role, working with Talent Team members across Australia and New Zealand. You will be supporting the ICI Manager, working within Oceania Talent Shared Services Team. The successful candidate will work within the ICI delivery framework, assisting in the design of solutions to ensure they meet client needs. The Power Platform Junior Developer and Maintenance assist in maintaining, designing, developing, testing and deploying solutions using Power platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), SharePoint, MS Team, GraphAPI and Dataverse. The position holder will perform other responsibilities and tasks as required to achieve the agreed performance outcomes.

The Power Platform Developer will:

• Participate in the design of solutions, ensuring the requirements are understood and that a technically feasible solution is identified.
• Build and maintain solutions as directed and required by engagement teams.
• Integrate data from various backend services and databases.
• Some understanding of how APIs and connectors can be practically applied to achieve business outcomes.
• Understand how data ought to be captured and stored in solutions to ensure peak performance for reporting requirements
• Ability to communicate technical requirements to non-technical resources, and vice versa
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Power Platform capabilities and best practice
• Participate in EY communities of practice around the globe

Skills and attributes for success

The successful candidate in this role will have a background in Power Platforms with a passion for excellent client service, knowledge of automation of processes, and demonstrated experience dealing with stakeholders. This is suitable for a candidate with 0-2 years overall IT/Automation experience.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or comparable discipline / experience
• An understanding of how to create solutions tailored to client business and technical drivers
• Knowledge and application of Power platform and Microsoft 365 suites (SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Teams, Power Fx, Dataverse, GraphAPI, Visual Basics, PowerQuery etc.)
• Knowledge of how gateways, APIs and connectors can be practically applied to compliment business solutions.
• Driven and motivated approach to improving systems and processes
• Demonstrate initiative and work autonomously

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Microsoft certifications PL-900, PL-400 highly regarded
• Experience working with MS SQL highly regarded
