Job Summary

This requirement is fueling tremendous demand for the services of our ESG and Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) professionals. Our professionals understand the evolving pressures surrounding these challenges. As a result, they can help companies to respond by understanding and evaluating the broader value impacts and outcomes, identifying the opportunities, and supporting the reporting of non-financial performance risks to their stakeholders.
The opportunity
Our CCaSS team is growing exponentially to meet growing demand in the market. As the Strategic Program Manager for our ESG services you will play a key role in that growth. Working closely with EY’s Chief Sustainability Officer and members of the Firm’s ESG leadership team, you’ll develop, implement and execute program management and infrastructure to support our ESG efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement program to strategically manage intake of requests for ESG-related assistance. Prioritize high potential and high impact requests/opportunities and ensure that resources are deployed strategically based on the nature and potential impact of the opportunity.
Act as chief of staff for EY’s Chief Sustainability Officer, organizing and prioritizing critical issues and requests.
Provide operational support to meet ESG growth goals.
Bring together key stakeholders across Firm to help drive decisions and actions needed to meet ESG strategic priorities.
Manage coordination across service lines, leadership and functional groups to ensure alignment on priorities and execution.
Lead program measurements, including process analysis, reporting of results and making recommendations to drive improvements.
Leverage relationships to effectively navigate across groups/service lines.
Skills and attributes for success
Ability to manage highly complex projects/programs that require the ability to create and implement timelines related to project deliverables, assign tasks and follow up on their completion and manage sponsor expectations of the outcome of the deliverable.
Self-starter who has the ability to think strategically and consider a broad range of factors when solving/prioritizing issues and making decisions
Strong presentation skills and the ability to assert ideas and influence others to gain support and commitment.
Excellent communication skills – oral and written.
Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to coordinate multiple projects and initiatives at one time.
Demonstrated success in building relationships across levels and functional groups.
Ability to demonstrate strong cultural awareness skills to facilitate working in teams and groups.
ESG-related experience and experience driving results within a highly matrixed organization are assets.
Ability to quickly develop knowledge of our ESG services and account landscape sufficient to be able to prioritize requests.
To qualify for the role, you must have
A bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or the equivalent work experience.
10-12 years of related work experience
Ideally, you’ll also have
Experience with ESG or ESG-related programs/projects
PMP certification
