Summary:
In this role, you will be joining the Display & Optics team that is responsible for the design, development, and productization of the display systems in AR, VR, and Portal family of products.
You will be leading a systems-centric engineering organization composed of multiple teams with responsibilities across the entire product life cycle, and the end-to-end system development.
Required Skills:
Lead an organization composed of Tech Leads and Managers spanning complementary sets of technical domains in computational display engineering, optical engineering, and image quality correction.
Drive the team’s charter, strategic direction, vision, and priorities through an understanding of the multi-generational product roadmap.
Manage the team cross the product life cycle: design, prototyping, test, validation, product implementation and production support activities.
Develop strong relationships with cross-functional and sister organizations. Lead and interface with inter and intra-org partners/stakeholders for engineering issues/development to help address gaps and in shaping the future products or address new changes.
Develop comprehensive understanding of the different product areas and apply experience, leadership, knowledge, and influence to drive for effective decision making and fast resolution.
Attract, develop, mentor, and retain a strong team to execute on display system engineering.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of people management experience of highly technical individuals.
Minimum of 10 years of experience working in an optics, display, or related field.
Technical skills in one or more of the following: system engineering, AR displays, the intersection of hardware and software in relation to displays.
Proven leadership skills with self-awareness, situational/organizational awareness.
Experience in influencing a great latitude on outcomes. Experience presenting complicated issues to senior leadership.
Proven role model for direct reports.
Proven communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Adept at working in a fast-paced environment and in early stages of product development, and with a high level of ambiguity.
