Job Description

The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for industry-focused outbound marketing activities, specifically presenting our products and services in ways that will strengthen our brand and boost sales and impact.
This person will own competitive positioning and will be the voice of the customer by building a deep knowledge of our buyers, including how they make their buying decision. They will back up strategic insights with market evidence and then use that knowledge to drive the development of positioning and messaging that resonates with buyers and empowers successful business development and growth.
This person will collaborate cross-functionally with communications, digital marketing, product development, and business development to develop innovative programs and content that drive demand. They will have an ability to grasp and present our value proposition in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our stakeholders’ problems.
This position requires strong writing skills and the ability to capture the voice of FTUSA to directly develop and write content for sales materials, landing pages, customer emails and website content.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Owns market intelligence, and is the expert on our buyers, who they are, how they buy and their key buying criteria
• Works closely with business development, communications and product development to develop key messaging, value propositions, product positioning and messaging that will resonate with our target buyer personas and aligned with content strategy
• Owns competitive positioning for all industry categories, including sales enablement
• Plans and manages the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products, and manages the cross-functional implementation of the plan
• Act as the primary thought leader for the products you support, including sales enablement and written documentation
• In collaboration with product management, develops enablement for internal and external stakeholders on product/service features, benefits and value propositions
• Develops sales enablement and training for internal and external stakeholders on product and service value, updates and new launches
• Creates and writes marketing materials (e.g. sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts, landing pages, outreach emails) that articulate the benefits of our products/services/ value proposition
• Designs and develops marketing collateral, presentations, sales materials, training materials, product one-pagers, webinars, case-studies and other potential customer facing materials

Qualifications:

Required Skills, Experience, & Knowledge

• 5+ years of product marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience in sales enablement (e.g. sales teams materials, competitor analysis and customer-centric value propositions)
• Proven track record of executing successful product launches
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to sell ideas well through creative & innovative presentations
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties. Team player!
• Ability to develop, organize, and maintain process documentation
• Ability to create, update, and maintain training documents
• Demonstrated excellence in writing (samples will be requested)
• Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-function capacity
• Ability to effectively prioritize and manage time to address multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Metrics-driven and analytical; proven ability to prioritize, drive, and achieve results through self and others under time pressure

Education & Training

• BSc/BA in Marketing, Communications or similar field

Technology & Software

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Powerpoint, Adobe, and project management tools
• Proficient in Salesforce and marketing automation (Pardot or similar)

This position can work out of the Bay Area (Oakland) or Remote U.S.
