Serves as primary contact for the parking ticket collections program and police tows. Acts as liaison between the parking ticket vendor, police department, collection agency, and the Department of Tax Administration (DTA). Performs monthly analysis of referred personal property and BPOL accounts to reconcile discrepancies between DTA’s system of record and the collection agency. Serves as a back-up to the distress and seizure program which involves the accurate and timely initiation and release of boot orders. Serves as a back-up for the delinquent payment plan program by collaborating with taxpayers to establish reasonable payment agreements for past due real estate and tangible property taxes. Serves as a back-up to the Cashiering and Central Telephone Sections as needed by assisting taxpayers in person at the customer service counter and answering inbound calls. Provides critical support in other sections throughout the agency.
Note: The assigned functional areas for this position are Account Research, Dispute Resolution, Payment Processing, Customer Service, Research and Analyze.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience and training equivalent to high school graduation and three years of experience providing administrative support in the assigned functional area(s).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with the Fair Debt Collection Act and its standards, practices, methods, and procedures. Clear and concise oral and written communication skills. Ability to exercise tact, discretion, initiative, and creativity. Extensive experience using Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel and Access and a strong aptitude for applying software to everyday business needs. Relates well with other people, agencies, and collection agency personnel. Should have strong decision-making and organizational skills, use good judgement, and have a high degree of maturity.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Job is generally sedentary in nature; however, employee may be required to do some walking, standing, or bending. Ability to input, access, and retrieve information from a computer. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. All duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
