Overview

Performs preventive maintenance, safety testing, and repair of medical equipment.

Responsibilities/Job Description

• Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures andstandards.

• Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.

• Repairs medical equipment and systems.

• Selects and order needed parts, coordinate repairs with outside vendors.

• Maintains a clean and organized shop.

• Maintains productivity hours and accountability levels per department standards.

• Performs preventive maintenance and safety testing.

• Maintains records on equipment repairs, safety inspections, and preventive maintenance usingdata management system.

• Demonstrates safe practice in the use of equipment and makes recommendations andimprovement of safety. Wears safety equipment as appropriate.

• Assists in the selection of medical equipment for purchase by customers.

• Provides in-service training to staff and customer accounts.

Qualifications

Required

Experience:

• Less than 1 year experience required.

• Completion of internship in biomed shop duringeducational training or equivalent experience required.

• Valid driver’ss license with good driving recordand own vehicle

Preferred:

• Associate’s degree preferred.

Vaccination Update
