Farmlands Looking for Retail Salespeople at Ashburton, Canterbury Full Time

Our new Ashburton store is opening soon, and we’re looking to hire multiple positions.

We have Retail Salesperson positions available – permanent part-time (around 20 hours per week) and casual! Various hours and day are available between Monday to Sunday. We particularly are in need of people available to work weekend shifts. Let us know which you’re interested in and what hours, and we’ll certainly consider it!

Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunity

As a Retail Salesperson, you’ll provide great service to Farmlands’ shareholders in our Ashburton store. You’ll also:

• Provide retail sales and customer service to our shareholders
• Advise customers on a range of sheep and beef, dry stock and general agricultural products
• Operate a point of sale (POS) system
• Complete administrative tasks such as ordering and receipting of stock
• Restock and display our products

What we’d be excited about

For the retail sales roles:

• You can talk to anyone
• You have retail sales or customer service skills and experience
• You have sound computer skills
• You’re physically fit as there will be lifting and manual handling tasks

For the store person role:

• You’ll have a full clean Class 1 driver’s license
• You’ll ideally have an (F) Forklift Endorsement and an OSH Certificate
• A Dangerous Goods (DG) Endorsement would be advantageous

Bonus Points for

• A background in the farming sector
• A broad knowledge of agricultural products and services
