Summary The ideal candidate for this position will provide expert leadership in implementing a variety of public relations, communications, and marketing tools as well as developing written materials to convey information for the Office of External Affairs and FEMA. Responsibilities What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, the typical assignments include: Designing, implementing, and evaluating proactive strategies to communicate the Agency’s mission and programs to agency partners and advising agency leadership on policy formulation based on External Affairs insights. Directing and mentoring Division staff in continuously monitoring and assessing emerging and recurring trends and issues relating to external understanding of FEMA policies, programs, and major operations. Providing supervisory and managerial direction to Communications Division personnel, providing administrative and technical oversight and direction.
