Fidelity Life Looking for Head of Regulatory Affairs at Auckland CBD, Auckland Full Time

Due to an internal promotion we are looking for a new Head of Regulatory Affairs to join the team at Fidelity Life.  This is a permanent, full-time senior leadership role.  Thrive in an environment where anything goes in terms of flexibility – work in or outside Auckland and avoid the daily commute.

The OpportunityReporting to the Chief Risk Officer, your primary responsibility will be maintaining an effective regulatory management framework across the Fidelity Group. Creation and maintenance of systems and processes for the management and oversight of the regulatory environment, regulatory engagement, leading the development and maintenance of regulatory change and emerging issues impacting the life insurance industry. Some key responsibilities include:

• Regulatory management – maintain an effective regulatory management framework for the enterprise
• Communicating regulatory change and emerging issues to the wider business
• Leadership and coaching of team members to build capability
• Consult with internal, external stakeholders and regulators on new and emerging regulatory change to help drive and direct changes in the regulatory environment.
• Risk and compliance – supports and promotes an environment that fosters pro-active risk management and a commitment to compliance (which is mirrored at all levels of the organisation)

About you

You will have a relevant tertiary qualification (LLB preferred) together with senior level regulatory experience within a financial services environment.  With a high degree of commercial acumen you will have proven skills influencing and advising to executive and or board level.  Strong stakeholder management capabilities will see you leading and influencing cross-functionally to deliver aligned enterprise outcomes.  You will also be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously.
