Financial Accountant Full Time

Our client has engaged Michael Page to recruit for a Financial Accountant to join the finance team for an initial 6-month contractual period. Whilst the role commences as a contract role, there may be an opportunity for this to lead to something longer term or permanent. The role will incorporate a range of Financial and Management Accounting activities and report through to the Senior Finance Manager. The role commences immediately.

Client Details

Our client is a large multinational company in the manufacturing sector. Ongoing organic growth and growth through acquisition has led to the requirement of an added headcount in the form of a Financial Accountant to join the team.

Description

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the following but not be limited to:

• Monitor Fixed Assets register including capitalisation, CIP, and depreciation
• Responsible for month end closing for Fixed Assets
• Responsible for submitting reporting to head office
• Maintain Fixed assets stocktake schedule and facilitate the stocktakes
• Responsible for Product Price Variance analysis AU and related reconciliation.
• Collecting and analysing data used in preparation for providing reports and analysis
• Participate in scheduled and unscheduled reviews and audits, both internal and external
• Prepare reporting for Corporate – Annual Income tax return, FBT return, etc
• Prepare monthly BAS and regular FBT returns
• Monitor Lease register
• Monitor Insurance and Workcover and deal with Insurance brokers

Profile

The relevant candidate will be/have:

• Bachelor’s degree in a finance related discipline
• Membership accounting body (CA or CPA)
• 3-5 years relevant finance experience
• Available at short notice / Immediately Available
• Experience with a large ERP system
• Strong excel skills
• Ideally experience in a Multinational
