Finder Hiring For Financial Analyst at Singapore Full Time

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Group FPA Manager, this role will work closely with the leaders of Finder’s International organization and the wider Finance function.  This role will plan/forecast, manage the month end process for International and specific regions/markets of Asia, Canada, New Zealand and Rest of the World (“ROW)”, as well as coordination of monthly results to the Finder central reporting hub and any other ad-hoc analysis required by key stakeholders. 

Responsibilities:

The Finance Analyst, International will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Commercial Support
  • Provide all financial information to FPA function and Group Finance for the monthly consolidation and associated reports for above regions/countries. 
  • Work with Group Finance to finalise revenue each month and flash forecast during the month.
  • Management and preparation of monthly management reports in a timely manner.
  • Provide deep dive analysis around financial performance, in particular for “Global Niche” verticals (Crypto, Share Trading, Money Transfers and any others in the future). 
  • Niche profitability analysis by country, including accurate allocation of Distributed Services support team(s).
  • Assist with any other month end requests related to International for Group Finance.
• Budgets & Forecasting
  • Partner with the Group FPA Manager, Chief Growth Officer of International, and key stakeholders to prepare annual budget, monthly forecasts and quarterly reforecasts.
  • Completion of all budget/forecast templates provided by Group Finance, including detailed revenue and cost budgets.
  • Provide detailed analysis of key budget items vs. Group expectation, highlighting key matters for attention to the above people.
  • Deliver long range (3 year) revenue and profit forecasts for annual strategic plans.
• Balance Sheet
  • Ensure debtors are well controlled and bad debts/ adjustments kept to a minimum and aim to reduce DSO targets.
  • Together with Group Finance, ensure that all Assets and Liabilities for the countries above are fairly stated and comply with relevant reporting requirements (AASB/IFRS), etc.
  • Preparing any statutory accounts that may be required by local regulatory bodies (assisted by Group Finance/ subject to auditors as well).
  • Working with Group Finance to ensure any relevant balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis and providing any necessary support.  
• Treasury
  • Maximize available cashflow (debtor collections, managing creditors) and update the cashflow forecast monthly.
  • Ensure that credit limits are established for clients and adhered to on an on-going basis.
  • Bank account co-signatory with Group Treasury and/or Group Financial Controller (GFC) and any local banking needs.
• Tax
  • Oversee the lodgement of any relevant Federal or State Government Tax returns and any indirect taxes (sales, etc) as they fall due and payable.
  • Work with the Global Head of Treasury and Tax where required for submitting tax returns.
• Compliance
  • Foster and breathe the compliance ethos of Finder to safeguard the business from fraud and misappropriation and compliance with Finder Standard Policies. 
  • Support the GFC with the annual audit.
  • Ensure compliance with other local jurisdiction legislation and standards.

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Extensive experience working as management accountant / analyst.
• Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance. Preferably CPA qualified or studying for it. 
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills with attention to detail.
• Understanding of accounting standards IFRS (will have assistance from Group Finance)
• Competency with ERP system, NetSuite or comparable finance system.
• Strong communication skills and able to establish positive working relationships with a variety of clients and internal stakeholders.
• Computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel.
• Commercially oriented, proactive and solution-based approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure and handle high volumes.
• “Can Do” attitude and is able to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Stakeholder focused – clarify and deliver stakeholder needs, and follow up on stakeholder enquiries promptly and professionally.
