Our schools and 1ACE Provision offer a balance of academic studies, physical and outdoor education, vocational studies, and personal development programmes for those who have had limited success in formal education, or who have struggled in specialist settings
Our children are taught in small groups or on a one to one basis, using bite size learning based on personal interests and community issues to help engage the children and help extend their concentration. Our teachers are specialist trained to work in developing the child. Our holistic approach boosts confidence, self-esteem and helps our young people to develop skills to be a successful learner. A therapeutic informed approach is used to recognise and reduce barriers to learning and create a personalised curriculum.
We are looking for Innovative and Creative Teachers with experience of working with children who are SEMH, to join our friendly teams at our Outreach provisions in Dorset,
In this role you would be expected to ensure all children and young people within our care are secure and receiving the best possible educational provision and outcomes.
Working alongside the Lead Teacher you will demonstrate a clear understanding of the challenges of delivering consistent, quality learning opportunities to students with higher and complex needs. The successful candidate will hold QTS as well as being able to evidence considerable experience in the following:
The post requires the practitioner to have a sound knowledge of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage, excellent communication skills, a commitment to inclusive practice and can work within a multi-disciplinary team. You will also contribute to an integrated model of care and school development plan, whist supporting the pupils, recognising, and responding to their individual needs
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of differentiation and be flexible to work with and take responsibility for a small group of KS2, KS3, KS4
