About the Role
A Fivecast Software Engineer will be working as a part of our best-in-class development team on challenging software problems. You will also be applying complex machine learning models developed by our Data Science team to large volumes of unstructured data.
This opportunity exists for candidates of varied backgrounds, and with different levels of experience; graduates, experienced developers as well as highly experienced senior developers are all encouraged to apply.
Our software stack is built on React.JS, Spring Boot and Java.
Fivecast are focused on our customers and regularly ship planned releases to production, while listening to users and responding to their feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree level qualifications e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering
• Experience designing, implementing and testing software applications in Java
• Experience with web front-end technologies e.g. HTML, CSS, and Javascript frameworks such as React or Angular
• Experience using relational databases
• Strong communication skills
• Strong academic results are essential and academic transcripts must be provided

Desirable:

• Experience with search engines or NoSQL document stores e.g. Elasticsearch, Solr, MongoDB
• An understanding of data science and machine learning techniques
