Flashpoint Looking for Software Engineer (Fullstack) at New York, NY Full Time

Flashpoint’s engineering team delivers intelligence to the largest organizations in the world, government entities protecting our national security, and educational institutions. Our customers work on the CTI, Fraud, Insider Threat and Physical Security teams within their organizations. Our work has a direct impact on making our cyber and physical world a safer place. The Auth team maintains the infrastructure that our customers use to login and access Flashpoint’s products.

We are looking for a collaborative engineer who prioritizes mentoring and supporting others, cares about user experience and customer needs, and creates testable and readable code. In this role, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of software development, understand the requirements, design the solution, write the code, test the code, deploy it to production, and monitor the deployment.

What You Will Get To Do On Our Team

You will have the opportunity to work on developing and maintaining tools for user account provisioning, RBAC, self-service user management, interfacing with identity providers, and generating reports about app usage and licensing. As a member of our team, you will drive best practices and process improvement, contribute to code reviews, and participate in a collaborative engineering environment. You will work closely with a dedicated UX designer, frontend and backend developers, QA, and Product team members.

What You Will Achieve

• Within 30 days
• You will have learned our processes and procedures
• You will be actively contributing to the team’s new project
• Within 60 days
• You will have joined the team’s on-call rotation to support the existing auth apps and tooling
• You will have contributed code to nurture, refactor, or expand our existing auth systems
• By 90 days
• You will be conducting code reviews with team members, and supporting junior developers
• You will have intimate working knowledge and a direct impact on current tool roadmaps and sprints

To be successful in this role

• You have contributed to a production system with Typescript/Javascript, HTML, React, and CSS, in an agile environment
• You have a working proficiency with modern Javascript/Typescript (ES6/7) development tools (like Git and Webpack)
• You have contributed to RESTful web services/sockets using modern application frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
• You have experience using Python to develop software
• You have written unit and integration tests, and producing testable code
• You have an interest in working with identity providers like Okta, Auth0 or OneLogin and learning about the best practices when implementing the OAuth 2.x and SAML 2.0 protocols, password and passwordless logins, and multifactor authentication
• You have a willingness to write documentation. Other internal teams consult the Auth Team for guidance about best practices when it comes to handling authentication and authorization.

Base Pay Range: $105,000/yr – $125,000/yr Plus Bonus
