About Us:
We are currently seeking a person to join us as our Guest Services Manager to deliver an exceptional and personalised experience to our guests, every time they interact with the business.
Flatbush Holiday Accommodation is located in the new Auckland suburb of Ormiston and we are a busy, modern and unique accommodation business with 48 rooms. We offer high standard, trendy, hotel style rooms in a homely atmosphere. We are a “down to earth” business, hands on, with an open management style. Our core clientele during the week is with business travellers, contract workers, private hospital patients and the general travelling public. We serve hundreds of clients every month. We also specialise in group bookings of 8-20 guests.
About the role:
This role is a critical role for the business. It is a busy one. After on the job training, we want you to take over the day to day running of the business. This is a good career move for someone looking for supervisory and management experience and exposure at all levels in an accommodation business. Full training will be given.
You will be responsible for all the operations around guest services, check-in and check-out for the business which includes but not limited to:
Experience in accommodation front counter guest services is an advantage
Given we are in a service and hospitality business the hours of the role are:
Tuesday to Saturday 9.00am to 5.30pm – 40 hours per week.
This is a salaried role and the package includes a petrol card.
You will be called on to work the occasional statutory holidays at busy periods.
As our ideal candidate for this busy role, you will bring:
Excellent English communication skills including great numeracy skills
• The ability to work unsupervised
• A full, clean New Zealand Drivers Licence as occasionally you may at some stage need to take guests to an accommodation property / airport / Ormiston Hospital, if they do not have transport
• Self-motivation and attention to detail, along with a genuine passion for customer service and hospitality
• Exceptional personal presentation
• An understanding of email, Microsoft – Word, Excel, Outlook and basic computer skills is important as you will be operating a fully computerised booking system linking to other accommodation booking agents such as Booking.com and Expedia. Full training will be given.
You must have the legal right to work in New Zealand to be considered for this role. The start date for this role is immediate as the position is now vacant.
