Fletcher Building Limited Looking for Yardperson at Lower Hutt, Wellington Full Time
We are looking for a hardworking yardperson to monitor and maintain our grounds. This role is important as there is a requirement to keeping the yard organised and tidy. You will first-hand what is coming in and what leaves the yard. If you are looking for a pathway to kick start your career? Then look no further – this maybe the one for you
- Based in our Lower Hutt Operations
- $25 per hour plus allowances
- Monday to Friday and the odd occasional half day Saturday per month

Ko tā mātou mahi – Our Role
- General labouring
- Forklift – loading and unloading
- Product inspection and assembly
- Ensuring the finished product is consistent and meets quality standards
- Being part of a team that maintains continuous production
- Ensuring stock is rotated and yard is maintained
No experience but have a great attitude? This is a great opportunity to get in and learn about our products, and potentially grow your career in production and operations.
Ngā Pūmanawatanga Ōu – What You Will Bring
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Mechanical aptitude – you’ve worked with moving parts, machinery and have a knack for understanding
- Forklift Licence as you will be required to drive in the Yard
- Physical fitness and co-ordination
- Good communication and positive team skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
