Client:
Our client is a well-established organization who has been around in Wellington for many years. It is a growing healthcare business so there will never a shortage of work. This is a permanent role- 40 hrs a week- Monday to Friday. to cover maternity. Timing are usually business hours i.e., 07:30-16:00 or 10:30-19:00 (or times in between) and it is rare to go beyond 7 PM.

• $25-$28 per hour salary- salary to increase in June/July

Main Duties:

• You will be looking after a rheumatologist and gynaecology doctor.
• Reception for patients, greeting them with courtesy
• Contacting patients on receipt of referral letter, once specialist has seen it, to arrange appointments ensuring that bookings are entered in the ‘MedTech’ booking schedule
• Booking follow up appointments as required
• Invoicing, receipting, and monitoring patient accounts – daily during clinics and monthly for debtors
• Prepare End of Day reports, monthly accounts for each doctor
• Ensures that incoming and outgoing mail is directed appropriately – referrals to correct specialist
• Prepares clinic notes, patient results and collates files ready for the day’s clinic
• Ensures patient records are kept in an organised manner as per individual doctors’ requirements
• Answer and direct all phone calls in a timely manner

You:

• We are looking for someone with some experience from the Medical sector eg administration/receptionist who is confidential, highly efficient and appreciative of how crucial attention to detail is.
• You will be engaging, happy to help others, and genuinely enjoy patient interaction, including calmly managing any patients under stress.
• Experience with MedTec would be an advantage.
• Computer proficiency with a high level of accuracy will be good to have.
• Excellent spoken English skills are essential
• Enjoy supporting a diverse, high-energy team
• Excellent organisational skills, professional presentation and attention to details
• Intermediate MS Office skills and room booking software experience preferable
• Excellent communication skills
• A positive attitude and a flexible and adaptable nature
• Ability to work within a team and independently when needed is crucial
