Job Description NNL is seeking a cybersecurity professional to join the Cybersecurity Program Services (CSPS) team in the Information Technology (IT) department. The successful candidate will have an important role in securing the world’s best Navy by performing cybersecurity audits and assessments of information systems as well as assisting system owners in remediating cybersecurity deficiencies. What you’ll be doing: Develop and execute audit and assessment plans to determine information system alignment with cybersecurity policies and procedures. Research, evaluate and recommend cybersecurity improvements to information systems and work practices by the development of audit and assessment reports, briefings, and presentations. Travel to support audits and assessments at external entities. Be accountable to complete work tasks in a timely manner; seek help when necessary. Be responsible and receptive to routine self-development training materials provided by the company. Plan daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job expectations and management instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Maintain immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers; report unsafe conditions and/or practices to ensure they are corrected. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of six years of relevant experience or; Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of four years of relevant experience. Preferred Skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including experience explaining cybersecurity concepts and requirements to stakeholders and understanding user needs. Familiarity with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) approach, methods, and concepts. Demonstrated ability to prepare, execute and document information system audits and assessments. Experience developing cybersecurity policies and procedures. Experience conducting cybersecurity audits. Demonstrated desire and ability to continuously learn and develop working knowledge in new areas as required.
