Flux Federation Looking for Employee Experience and Events Coordinator at New Zealand Full Time

The role:

The Employee Experience and Events Coordinator will help Flux deliver successful and impactful all-remote, employee experience initiatives. The Employee Experience and Events Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring our much anticipated annual “Flux Camp” is a success. You will provide support and enable the Talent and Organisational Development Manager to deliver an experience that drives exceptional employee experience, engagement and interpersonal connection across our organisation.

How you’ll make an impact:

You will be responsible for supporting the Talent and Organisational Development Manager in the execution of our annual company event “Flux Camp.” This includes:

• Ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness in travel to and from the camp. We’re a remote workforce, so this takes care, attention to detail and lot’s of pre-planning!
• You’ll play a key part in gathering content and speakers to maximise the event’s success.
• Enhancing the quality and organisation of the camp’s content to maximise its success.
• Streamlining the coordination of accommodation, buses, and menu planning over the three days of the event.
• Handling the ordering of stationery, collateral, and event setup, in collaboration with the staff at the venue.
• Ensuring the coordination and procurement of the necessary tech equipment.
• Working closely with our Finance team to oversee the camp budget, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality of the event.
• You’ll be Flux’s main point of contact with the venue, making sure there are seamless operations throughout the event.
• Lastly, you’ll be our internal go-to person in the lead up to the “Flux Camp” and responsible for the internal communications surrounding this event.
• In addition to the above, where your capacity allows, you’ll be able to get involved in wider employee experience initiatives and varying degrees of Human Resources and Recruitment support within the People team.

Ideally you will bring the following experience:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong coordination skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Able to take ownership of tasks and execute, with our employee experience and engagement at the forefront of your decision making.
• Great organisational skills – you’ll be able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• High degree of initiative and motivation. You’ll be super proactive and confident to jump in and get things done.
• Great at building relationships and rapport with people at all levels, including our external service providers and our Executive team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Technology competent – you’ll be able to use (or very quickly learn) google suite and slack. You’ll also be able to confidently navigate a spreadsheet!
• Previous experience in event management or employee experience is an advantage.

This is a part time, fixed-term role commencing in January 2024 – May 2024. Ideally, we’re looking for someone who can work up to twenty hours per week, across a four or five day working week. However, for the right candidate this is negotiable.
