Flyspace Productions is a fast-growing event management, AV production, and fine art services company located in Pittsburgh, PA. This woman-owned company provides full-service support for events and projects throughout the region ranging from city-wide festivals to intimate, private parties and everything in between.
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our Admin Department. This person will report to the Principals and will be responsible for managing the recruiting, onboarding, training, benefits, and employee relations functions while ensuring compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations. This person will be a key member of the company leadership team and provide support and insight into company growth opportunities and scaling, while helping to streamline existing processes. This is a full time, exempt position with a base salary of $50,000+ and full benefits including unlimited PTO, healthcare, vision, dental, short and long term disability insurance, life insurance, retirement plan, employee assistance program, professional development opportunities, and more. This role includes flexible in-office reporting and the management of at least one additional staff person.
A successful candidate will be interested in growing along with the company, continuing to gain experience and expertise while we build a department with this person as the leader. They will have had management experience in HR, with significant proficiency and knowledge in general HR. They will have a passion for supporting the arts and culture of Pittsburgh through an administrative role and understand that they are a key part of the team making amazing things happen in the City.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and develop the HR team, including recruiting, training, and performance management.
Manage the full cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, and conducting interviews.
Create and manage onboarding and training programs for new hires.
Develop and manage employee relations programs, including employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
Develop and manage performance management programs, including performance appraisals, performance improvement plans, and employee development programs.
Develop and manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary structures, bonuses, and other incentives.
Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations.
Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and employee grievances.
Manage HR metrics and reporting, including turnover, absenteeism, and employee satisfaction.
Oversee HR administration, including maintaining employee records, benefits administration, and HRIS management.
Collaborate with other departments and team members to support the company’s goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs.
Experience in talent acquisition and management, including recruiting, onboarding, and performance management.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in the events or hospitality industry is a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States for this employer
