About the opportunity
Based at Fonterra’s Lichfield site in South Waikato you will play an integral part in this hybrid role as a Receptionist and Administrator. You will not only be the face of our Lichfield site but will also demonstrate excellent organization and administration skills to provide support to the Site and the Lead teams as required.
In this role, no two days are the same and you will have the ability to make this role your own. We are seeking someone who is confident with excellent communication skills, a people person, you have a strong Health & Safety focus, have a problem solver capability; and someone who isn’t afraid of going the step further in making this role more than what it is.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the smooth and efficient running of the Lichfield Site reception desk.
- Receiving and screening phone calls, redirecting and/or relaying messages as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and up to date reception systems and documentation such as staff phone lists and calendar booking rooms
- Responsible for ordering and maintaining stationery
- Responsible for taking care of general housekeeping
- Assist with customer visits such as booking meeting rooms
- Attending to all visitors to the building in a friendly and professional manner
- Champion of our security, Health & Safety and quality applications and databases including issuing and maintaining the site access cards for staff, contractors and visitors as required, using the Gallagher system
- Raise purchase orders as required and maintain adequate stock of consumables
- Represent the Admin team at Site Health & Safety Committee huis, lead Site Health & Safety initiatives
- Assist with weekly site meetings

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday.
About you
With prior experience in either a Reception or customer facing role plus a strong administration background, you will quickly build rapport and trust across all levels of the organisation.
You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet whilst supporting various key tasks.
Other skills include:
- Ability to be a team player and build strong relationships across the departments
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- The ability to prioritise tasks and get things done efficiently and professionally
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to diagnose any issues to get the desired outcome
- Have strong computer skills in the Microsoft Suite including intermediate Excel skills (SAP knowledge would also be beneficial)
- Someone who is creative with PowerPoint and can help with weekly presentations for the site
