About the opportunity

At Foodstuffs we believe that data and analytics are a cornerstone of our competitive advantage. To help execute on our analytics strategy we are seeking a highly numerate data professional to provide high value insights to our business, store owners and customers.

We are looking for an individual with a high level of data literacy – you will have previously worked in a role where data analysis and/or data science were your focus. While data science is one aspect of the role, we are looking for people who are pragmatic and focused on insights and outcomes, not theory.

Experience with major analytics tools and methodologies is highly advantageous, along with an enquiring mind and a passion for data.

Other useful experience could include:

• Python, R, SAS or other data analysis tools
• SQL and data manipulation
• Visualisation and reporting tools – SAC, Power BI, Tableau, Looker etc.
• Familiarity with SAP (specifically) or other tier one ERP systems

Based in our Christchurch office, you will join our supportive and friendly team. This is a permanent full-time role (Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours a week). Competitive package on offer, the salary range for this role is between $110k-130k per annum plus a discretionary bonus. Additional benefits include medical insurance after 12 months for you and your family provided you meet eligibility requirements.
