About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our high performing Infrastructure Server Team.

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will have experience design, implement, manage, migration and supporting high quality IaaS and PaaS solutions across multiple cloud technologies and on-premise.

You will be highly motivated, with excellent technical skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

This role provides support to our Owner/Member businesses within the supermarket industry, as well as to Foodstuffs sites and IT functions, across all of our South Island sites.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Design, Implement, Migrate and Support Cloud environments
• Automate manual processes with CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, GitHub, PowerShell,
• Contribute to planning and technical direction, identifying opportunities for business and process improvement
• Provide Level 3 technical support and incident resolution
• Communicate effectively with business stakeholders and end users

Key Requirements:
 

• Experience with enterprise scale infrastructure or cloud operations
• Demonstratable experience with Automation tooling, Infrastructure as code using Terraform, Building CI/CD Pipelines & YAML
• Experience with Microsoft SQL AlwaysOn and Microsoft Azure SQL desirable
• Vendor Specific technical certifications – Microsoft, VMware, Veeam, Splunk, HashiCorp, Azure, AWS, GCP
• Great interpersonal and communication skills, and focus on delivering high-quality solutions
• Current Full Driver’s license

You will be an IT professional with experience working in a similar role in an enterprise environment.

You will have a solid understanding of business needs and a strong customer focus. You will have excellent communication, interpersonal, analysis and problem-solving skills.

Based in our Christchurch office, you will join our supportive and friendly team. This is a permanent full-time role (Monday-Friday 37.5 hours a week). Competitive package on offer, the salary range for this role is between $100k-129k per annum plus a discretionary bonus. Additional benefits include medical insurance after 12 months for you and your family provided you meet eligibility requirements.
