Requirement : Software Developer

Job Description: Forge requires a Software Development Specialist to become part of a dynamic team supporting the Space Force . The project is a modern software factory engagement designed to bring forth new digital capabilities to support Space Operations Command and its Deltas. This role will engage with a large development team and perform key development activities for critical application elements and participate in highly innovative efforts.

Key Responsibilities :

Key responsibilities of the candidate will be (but aren’t limited to):

• Lead design and coding activities related to some mid-sized innovation efforts
• Perform coding activities for innovative systems and underlying data structures
• Develop high-quality features using Javascript and/or Python, following CI/CD processes
• Perform unit testing on developed features, enhancements, and fixes to ensure the product is ready for customer review
• Support customer feedback review and provide development team disposition on collected feedback as well as new feature and enhancement requests.
• Develop detailed time and sizing estimates for technical tasking and user stories.
• Update product backlogs with the latest ticket status
• Work with an integrated project team to deploy the latest code using CI/CD to cloud services.
• Document technical artifacts, including data models, process flows, application, and interface design
• Development and maintenance of system architecture and requirements documentation
• Maintain Active Security Clearance

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of professional experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or equivalent
• Experience with Javascript and/or Python
• Experience with .NET/C#
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to follow security protocols to protect sensitive data
• U.S. Citizen

Highly Desired Qualifications:

• Security+CE certification
• Active Security Clearance

Job: Full-time; contingent upon contract award

Salary Range: $100k-$140k/yr
