Format Services, LLC Hiring for Legal Transcription Quality Control Specialist at Remote Full Time

Format Services, LLC is looking for an experienced quality control associate / digital court reporter / legal transcriptionist with experience in legal deposition transcripts. You will be part of a new team working to deliver high-quality outputs that meet industry, jurisdiction, and customer-specific standards. This role will be a part of a growing business maturing into a well run, organized team. This role reports to the General Manager of Format Services, LLC.

Responsibilities:

• Perform quality control of previous transcripts – proof bylines and exhibit placement and wording based on customer requirements and style guidelines
• Incorporate templates into the supplied body of a transcript, including over sheets, appearances, indices, certificates, and errata
• Regularly provide feedback on processes and templates to help improve workflows
• Ensure outputs meet industry + jurisdiction standards and customer-specific expectations
• Openly receive feedback from customer’s Quality Control teams and implement improvements to templates and processes based upon it
• Help create iterations of templates for full package legal deposition transcripts
• Represent the team values of service, ownership, and personal growth

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a legal transcription quality control specialist, legal transcriptionist, digital reporter, Certified Electronic Transcriber (CET), or related role
• Quality control, proofreading and/or editor experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Word
• Self-starter able to work independently and manage your own time and workload
• Ability to follow detailed, nuanced instructions related to industry standards and customer-specific requirements
• Ability to incorporate templates into the supplied body of transcript

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
