JOB TYPE: Full-time position from 8:30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, and 30 min for lunch. We close in the evenings, weekends and holidays.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Forsyth Psychiatric Associates (www.forsythpa.com) is comprised of a strong team of one psychiatrist, 3 physician assistants, 6 therapists and 6 frontdesk staff. We are ranked the highest through google reviews among all mental health practices in this area. We are seeking an independent, self motivated, talented, organized and detail oriented Medical Office Receptionist or Administrator for this fast expanding private outpatient psychiatric clinic.
Responsibilities:
Answer phones
Scheduling the appointments
Greet patients and check in.
Ensures complete, accurate and up-to-date demographic and insurance information in order for the claims to be processed appropriately.
Verify patient insurance eligibility.
Collect copay and balance
General administration work if you are an administrator
Perform other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications:
Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills: Effectively and positively communicate with others.
Team Player: display a positive friendly attitude and willing to help others. Able to build trust.
Strong Motivation, Organizing & Multi-Tasking: Take action to achieve goals beyond what is required; being proactive. Ensure that work is completed efficiently.
Mental Stability and Stress Tolerance: Able to manage the stress in life and show up to work on time. Has good concentration, be able to pay attention to details, stay calm in a face paced environment. Maintaining stable performance under pressure. Able to sit for 8 hours.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or GED. One year experience in custom service working with customers in a professional, service-oriented manner. Type speed: at least 40 words per minute (WPM).
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Prior experience working in an office or medical setting.
