Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Developer
Work Location: Perth
Roster: Monday – Friday
The RPA Developer role works in a motivated, dynamic team using the industry-leading UiPath automation tool. RPA Developers work closely with business stakeholders, each other and our partner. With every project the team strives to assist stakeholders to streamline business processes and delight with the delivery of high quality, robust, reliable and highly efficient automation projects. This is a 12 month Fixed Term position.
Key accountabilities include:
- Maintain polite and courteous relations with staff and vendors at all times
- Work closely with customers to understand business process and challenges and document in the prescribed Process Definition Document and Solution Design templates
- Ensure system issues and changes are communicated to the relevant standard
- Attend required Scrum events
- Initial triage and escalation of RPA queries, requests and issues, escalating where required to appropriate teams
- Daily RPA support and maintenance activities
- Develop solutions as outlined in Solution Design Documents in line with Fortescue procedures
- Assist with testing of new bots, system enhancements, upgrades and patches in line with Fortescue procedures
- Promote and support best practice systems enhancements and functionality
- Propose improvement suggestions to all RPA processes, as appropriate
- Record all work related activity, including improvement tasks
- Job logging of the highest quality, recording concise, accurate and meaningful information with sufficient detail
- Record all repeatable processes using the standard Work Instruction template
- Validate Work Instructions and recommend improvements where opportunities exist to rationalise or optimise a task
- Develop and maintain training guides, including process & system documentation
Qualifications and skills required:
- 2 years’ experience in a similar position preferred
- Experience in developing robots and maintaining associated documentation
- Degree in business related discipline
- Certification in UiPath highly desirable
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills
- Customer focused approach, able to interpret business needs
