Fowler Welch Hiring for Cold Store Operative at Broxburn EH Full Time

Fowler Welch is recruiting for a night shift Cold Store Operatives to join Broxburn team (based at the Robert Burns Ltd. site).

Shifts- 4 on 4 off Night Shift 18.00 – 06.00

Salary- £12.19ph

As a Cold Store Operative you will receive, pick and consolidate customer orders as required. Maintaining the flow of product in and out of the area as the day’s work dictates.

Main Responsibilities

• To ensure you load/unload product strictly in line with the company’s policies and procedures
• To ensure the correct documentation is completed for all inbound and despatch loads.
• Reporting any trailer or MHE faults in line with company procedures and ensuring VOR vehicles are placed in the designated areas.
• To remain vigilant in ensuring goods are picked and assembled accurately as per instructions.
• To ensure despatched loads are properly secured prior to leaving the loading bay.
• To reach and maintain the standards required to meet the Company’s productivity targets.
• Ensure all practices and procedures are safely carried out in line with the company’s Health & Safety policy, SSOW’s and HACCP regulations, where appropriate, and to challenge colleagues who fail to adhere to any such rules or regulations.
• Ensure that company standards of hygiene and housekeeping are achieved and maintained.
• To assist colleagues when required and to behave in a harmonious, courteous manner at all times.

• Ability to work within a chilled/cold environment
• Experience of working within an environment where achieving deadlines and quality of work are critical
• Understanding of verbal and numerical reasoning
• Conscientious and reliable nature
• Positivate ‘can do’ attitude
