FPC National Hiring for Senior Director, Procurement at New York City Metropolitan Area Full Time

Our client is currently seeking an experienced leader to join them as the Senior Director of Procurement. This person will partner with the VP of Procurement and will be responsible for the Grocery and Produce teams. The Sr. Director will have the opportunity to both build new functions and manage their established category teams as they continue to grow.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as key member of the Procurement Leadership team
• Grow a high performing team, providing leadership, coaching and developmental support to Directors and Associate Directors of Produce and Grocery, who lead category management teams.
• Work closely with senior leadership to develop a sourcing strategy that supports company goals. Set and oversee the achievement of OKRs for cost, growth and innovation, risk management, supplier performance, and team development and enablement.
• Continue to scale their supplier network and manage capacity to meet the demand of multi-brand growth strategy.
• Partner cross functionally and work closely with their supplier network to identify and deliver on opportunities to drive improved customer experience through both existing product optimization and new product development.

Qualifications:

• 15 years of experience in Procurement or other relevant functions, with relevant experience in the Food Industry
• A procurement leader with an appetite for building scalable teams and enabling innovative products
• An expert negotiator who has handled multi-million dollar contract negotiations
• A creative problem solver with a process improvement mindset
• Data-driven decision maker who is passionate about bringing that mentality to their team
• A strong leader with a proven track record of managing large and diverse teams
• Detail-oriented – You possess strong organizational skills and consistently demonstrate a methodical approach to all your work
• Agile – You thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments and are willing to get deep into the weeds where needed
• Fluent in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
