Inside Sales Associate/Order Entry

Freeze-Dry Ingredients, established in 2008, is part of the Groneweg Group of companies. Our sister company, Freeze-Dry Foods GmbH, is a German family business with over 40 years of tradition. Since its founding by Dieter Groneweg in 1978, the company has developed into a globally recognized specialist for first-class freeze-dried and air-dried ingredients with consistent and continuous product quality. The GRONEWEG Group employs about 600 people worldwide. Its headquarters are in North-Rhine Westphalia, Germany. We at Freeze-Dry Ingredients are convinced that a product is only as good as its ingredients. Therefore, we have tasked ourselves with supplying the food industry with the best freeze-dried and air-dried products.

We are seeking a highly motivated and professional Inside Sales Associate/Order Entry to service our customers. Our customer base is very diverse – from the dairy industry to health food to confectionery manufacturers, we sell across multiple product lines to a wide array of companies.

This position requires excellent communication skills, relationship-building skills, and problems solving skills. Experience in the food industry is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Inside Sales Associate/Order Entry: 2 years (Preferred)
• Experience in Logistics and international imports (Preferred)
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics -Navision / Business Central 18 (Preferred)
• Work onsite / in office (Elmhurst, IL)

Skills:

• Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

• Prepare shipping documents (packing lists, bills of lading, labels, customs documents)

• Hands-on mentality. Willingness to wear many hats (we are a small organization)

• Proactive attitude towards customers, following up on pending issues, generating valuable Insights and new business

• Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Teams

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision / Business Central 18 a plus

• Food industry expertise a plus

• Ability to work cross-culturally

• Outstanding communication skills and professional client-oriented attitude

• Exceptional attention to detail, follow-up skills, and analytical skills

Responsibility:

• Process daily incoming electronic orders, review data for accuracy, make changes where appropriate, and update sales orders

• Process invoicing daily

• Arrange transportation and process claims

• Provide shipping confirmation to customers and track shipments

• Maintains professional and courteous demeanor in all customer-related communications

• Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve satisfaction

• Make outbound calls to customers as needed

• Provide updates and support to Regional Sales Managers

• Coordinate with procurement and sales in replenishing inventory

• Work closely with warehouse personnel and reconcile inventory

• All other duties as assigned
