Position: Office Assistant / Public Health Duties: Under general
supervision, greets and provides customer service to the public, follows
established procedures performing a variety of clerical tasks. Provides
support with the daily activities of a Public Health Agency including
filing, telephone coverage, appointment scheduling, registration,
patient referrals, and outreach/community education programs. Answers
incoming calls; addressing clients’ questions about programs,
transferring calls to appropriate personnel as needed. Provides general
information to staff, clients and the public as it relates to public
health programs. Organizes and maintains client records. Inputs
clients’ records into an established computer system, ensuring its
accuracy. Conducts reminder calls to clients based on their upcoming
appointments as it relates to the programs they are enrolled in; such as
immunizations. Assists with client referrals through physician offices
or provides information to clients on insurance coverage based on public
health program participation. Provides support and administrative
functions for public health education programs. This involves creating
flyers, letters or other correspondence as needed for upcoming events.
Requirements: High school education or general education degree (GED);
or six (6) months to one (1) year of related experience; or equivalent
combination of education and experience. Valid Colorado driver’s
license required. Wage: $15.60 per hour. Shift: This is a full-time
