Many young adults leave school without the life skills we often take for granted, such as telling the time, counting money and even being able to read valuable information. This can make the world a very challenging place to navigate. That’s where you come in.

We’re looking for an experienced education and engagement specialist to join our team to support a young person by helping them develop and grow their independence.

Key information

• You’ll be matched to student & you’ll work with them for 2 to 5 days per week
• Placements are 6 to 12 weeks long
• As students are out of mainstream education, you’ll be delivering the sessions in their home or relaxed public places
• The young people have various special educational needs and/or social, emotional & mental health needs

What are we looking for?

• At least a year’s experience of working with children who have SEN and/or SEMH needs
• A proven track record of delivering primary or secondary education
• Understanding of & commitment to safeguarding
• A resilient personality and creative flair
