About The Role

You will be an integral part of leading, and supporting a specialist team of community nurses. Use your passion, skills and leadership experience to motivate, educate, and be a solid foundation for your team and the clients they support. Ensuring that your clients receive high-quality, compassionate care that supports their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, while also ensuring your team have the resources, support and training to provide this.

• Oversee quality and improvement
• Ensure ongoing safety and quality of care
• Full time position or 0.9FTE, mainly Monday – Friday hours. Though may need to support outside of this from time to time
• Support with development of the team and service
• Be a role model and inspiration to your team
• A focus on leadership, with a minor component of hands on clinical care as required to support

Skills & Experience

• Registered Nurse with current APC
• Previous leadership experience is required
• Prior experience or exposure working in palliative care is highly advantageous
• Ideally post graduate experience or a diploma in speciality nursing
• A genuine passion for motivating and leading a team
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills essential
• Empathetic caring personality with the ability to build rapport
• Commitment to providing quality holistic care to both clients and their whanau
