About The Role

This government-funded organisation is seeking registered nurses who are passionate about women’s health and have experience and typical general practice certifications like immunisations and smears. This role will involve caring for female inmates within a secure and safely monitored health centre for one of New Zealand’s largest women’s prisons. You will be working with a supportive and experienced MDT team of clinicians who love what they do. You will also be provided with opportunities for ongoing professional development and career progression. This is a great place to work and a great new opportunity for 2024.

Monday to Friday Role

Shift Options: 7.00 am – 3.30 pm or 12.30 pm – 9 pm

What You Have To Do

Operating in a clinic setting within this facility, you will perform key tasks and duties related to a primary care/GP nursing style of role where you will provide:

• Medication delivery
• Chronic illness care
• Regular immunisations
• Smear testing
• Mammograms
• Triaging of patients
• And, care for other acute injuries and general medical cases.

Skills And Experience

• MUST have current registration and APC with Nursing Council of New Zealand
• Must have your full certifications for immunisations, smears and screening
• GP nursing experience is considered desirable but not essential
• 1+ year of nursing in New Zealand is required

Please note that we are NOT taking CAP graduates at this point in time.
