Fugro Hiring for Cloud Engineer Job at Brisbane, Australia Full Time

Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Mid-level Cloud Engineer for a small, Brisbane-based team of Data Scientists and Software Engineers. The team is developing the compute backend of our Sense Pipelines product, which uses automated classification and feature detection models to support Fugro’s remote offshore survey operations.

What does the Role look like:

You will work closely with the team to support the design, development and implementation of cloud-based software and processes. You will be developing a cloud system that is secure, perform trouble shooting, access controls and administration. You will be part of a continuous improvement team focusing on delivering value to our end users using agile development practices and assisting with compute backend support.

You have:

• Strong aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Initiative for solving problems, and strong problem-solving ability.
• Experience or willing to get hands-on Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• A background in systems or software engineering would be a bonus
• You will need to hold full Australian Working Rights to be considered for this role.
