The Opportunity
We need a motivated Arborist to join the Fulton Hogan team in Christchurch.
On a day-to-day basis you will be assisting with the below tasks:

Formative pruning
-
Crown thinning and reductions
-
Large tree removal via dismantle, or felling
-
Skid steer and excavator operating
-
Digger fed chipping
-
Storm event clean ups
What you’ll bring to the table
We’re looking for someone with Qualifications, and of course be passionate about your work and have a can-do attitude.
Along with the above you’ll be:
-
Physically and mentally fit
-
Passionate about working outdoors
-
Level 4 qualification in Arboriculture
-
At least 2 years climbing experience
-
Full clean class 1 drivers’ license – Class 2 or 4 truck license is advantageous
-
Good communication skills
-
Good work ethic and high standards of workmanship
-
An ability to work within a team environment
-
A broad range of Arboriculture skills
-
Good tree knowledge preferred
-
Experience in managing your own crew preferred however not essential
-
The ability to liaise effectively with our clients
-
Commitment to Health and Safety (our goal is that everyone returns home each night to their family and friends
